Finca Cortesin
Finca Cortesin - One of Spain's best kept secrets
In the rolling hills between Marbella and Sotogrande flanked by the Casares Mountains and with magnificent views of the Mediterranean coast is Finca Cortesin - a spectacular, owner-operated golf and spa hotel. The appealing interior design combined with impeccable service, outstanding food, exceptional spa and a world-class golf course make the Finca the epitome of refined yet relaxed Mediterranean living. Located in one of the Andalusian coast's most coveted enclaves on a 532-acre estate, the stunning all-suite hotel has been ranked among Europe's finest addresses since opening in 2009.
Finca Cortesin was built and designed in the style of a classic Andalusian "finca" by renowned architects Roger Torras and Ignacio Sierra. Built around two main courtyards of palatial proportions, the hotel has 67 suites with high, four-meter ceilings and ranging in size from an impressive 50 square meters to 180 square meters. The fresh yet grand design is inspired by traditional Spanish architecture, giving each area a large, bright, and luxuriously spacious ambience rarely found elsewhere in Europe. Exterior design features include white walls, shaded arcades and courtyards, and exceptional interiors - antique terracotta floors, original carved wooden doors from old European castles, hand-painted wall coverings in soft pastel tones, and exquisite furniture that create a refined atmosphere.
Finca Cortesin is a culinary delight for the senses. The kitchen team is led by German chef Lutz Bösing. His culinary career spans more than 30 years, 20 of which he has spent refining and mastering Spanish gastronomy. Today, his main focus is on harmonising classic traditions with modern concepts, while constantly searching for the best products and ‘flavours of life’. Guests can indulge in culinary delights in a total of three main restaurants: El Jardín de Lutz enchants with authentic Spanish cuisine, REI serves Japanese-inspired delicacies and the Don Giovanni restaurant stands for award-winning Italian cuisine. There are also three other more casual restaurants to choose from.
The total 2,200-square-foot spa & ARAṆĪ Yoga & Meditation Center are the perfect retreat for guests looking to take a break in one of the most peaceful spots on the Andalusian coast. In addition to Spain's first "snow cave" & an appealing selection of massages, guests can enjoy thermal baths, a fitness centre, a 25-meter indoor heated saltwater pool, and three thermal areas each with its own sauna, Turkish bath, and relaxation area at their disposal. The ARANĪ Yoga & Meditation Center consists of two studios and a quiet private garden for outdoor classes. This beautiful place is located on a hill with breath-taking views of the surrounding mountains and the Mediterranean Sea, just 350 meters from the hotel. It is an oasis of tranquillity and automatically invites you to forget everyday life and focus on the present here.
Sports enthusiasts can look forward to a game of tennis or use the Finca Cortesin's own 18-hole golf course. It has been classified as one of the best in Spain and has been developed taking into account the natural flora and fauna of the region. With almost 7500 meters, it is one of the longest golf courses in Europe and a real pleasure for golfers. Only 1 km away is the 6,000 m² Beach Club with a direct view of the sea. In addition to the direct beach access, the relaxed atmosphere in exclusive surroundings is particularly convincing here.
If you are looking for a little more peace and exclusivity, in addition to the normal suites, there are also other private homes available from a size of 2 bedrooms. The private homes, surrounded by a private garden and equipped with their own pool, offer maximum privacy and breathtaking views of the Sierra Bermeja, the golf course and the Mediterranean Sea.
